Whether you are looking to earn a full-time income or supplement the pay of your current job, many veterans are searching for opportunities to make more money. The economic environment stemming from the recent world-wide financial crisis has presented challenges for many Americans, and made it difficult for some families to make ends meet. Living paycheck to paycheck is the reality for many, and the idea of a supplemental income is enticing. Even a part-time job paying the federal minimum wage can bring in an additional $450 per month after taxes. What would you be able do with an additional $450 per month?
As veterans, our skills and abilities, coupled with our drive and commitment, present a background that should allow us to compete for jobs paying higher salaries. Given the opportunity, military veterans will likely prove themselves to be value-adding employees to many top organizations. The comment I repeatedly hear is that “I just need someone to take a chance on me.” I know… I’ve been there too. All it takes is for that one hiring manager to step outside of the box and see the hidden potential you are waiting to show the world. Once given a chance, it will be easy for you to stand out above the crowd in performance reviews because the standards you set for yourself are likely higher than those around you.
Until the time comes when you are offered that great paying job of your dreams, you’re going to have to face the reality of your current situation. If you’re reading this far, I’m assuming that you’re not independently wealthy and a few extra dollars in your pocket might be helpful. Are you living paycheck to paycheck? Do you feel stress as your bank account balance dwindles toward zero and then relief on payday, only to repeat that cycle the next week? Have you thought about borrowing money from family or selling some of your meaningful possessions to get you through the month? We’ve all been there ourselves or know someone who has been there. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, as long as you’re making a serious effort to help yourself and improve your current situation!
A serious effort is the key. We all want to succeed in our endeavors, and your friends and family want to see you succeed in your quest for financial freedom. For that to happen, you’re going to have to invest in yourself. There are many ways to invest in yourself, including going back to college, attending trade shows and seminars, purchasing products to help you get started down a path of income generation, working with a professional to update your resume and cover letter template, etc. The list can go on and on. Spending money on yourself is not a bad thing when it is an investment in the future! I’ve seen this reinvestment be successful in many times in the past, for individuals as well as companies. The secret to future opportunities and wealth has always been reinvestment in human capital. You are that human capital, and an investment in yourself is always a good investment.

Hi, my name is Lauren Terfehr and I am reaching out to you on behalf of Annuity.org. A former associate contacted you recently and I am just following up with you.
Americans who have served in the military may qualify for the Veterans Pension, which is a tax-free monetary benefit. Veterans and their families could be unaware of the options that are available to them due to the complexity of annuities.
We’ve recently added a new page dedicated to men and women who have served our country in the military:
http://www.annuity.org/veterans/
Your site provides great veterans resources listed here https://moneyforveterans.com/links and I think our resources could be a helpful addition for your website’s visitors.
Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions and I look forward to hearing from you.
Hello and greetings. After reading through this site I decided to tell my story. I am a former U.S. Marine. I served until injurying myself in the early 1990’s. After getting out of the service I have tried for three years to get the benefits I deserved. I have classified as a disabled vet. But it has taken the government almost three years for them to finally give back what is entitled. I have injured both knees right and left in the line of duty. But however they have only deemed me for one my right. I have a son single father and trying to be the dad he is proud of. I haven’t seen him since December 0f 2015 in liu of this governmental battle. Please my jobs have been limited but dedication to work is huge and proud. If anyone reads this and can respond to help a vet out id glad top accept any job offered to help my son myself survive. 765-238-9871 They have rated my knee injury $133 month ten percent but limited my jobs by 50%…MY country my life my beloved green gun club ooohhrraaaahh
