Hospitalization: A service member is considered “hospitalized” if the Service member is admitted as an inpatient in a military treatment facility or is, for purposes of receiving extensive outpatient rehabilitation or other medical care in a military treatment facility residing in quarters affiliated with the military health care system, and attached/assigned to a medical/patient unit. An example for the Army is a Warrior Transition Unit (WTU).
